Today’s product is as simple as it can get. Its very basic and often not paid much attention to. Its used for its intention and kept back in place. But who could have thought that it can be made better than it is?
I am truly intriguied…who does the design of these little everyday things?? Hopefully someone who comes across this blog answers me one day…
Today’s product is something present in every single house and office. It is a product present since the mesopotamian era. It is a medium of short term content transfer. It is a ‘drinking glass’.
You might be thinking ‘ehh whats so interesting about drinking glass?’ I thought like you too, till I came across this one!!
Looks totally normal doesn’t it?!!
But……its not!!
Here’s the speciality of this one!
Idents on the surface for fingers!! Its actually little details like these that make everyday products more user friendly and more ergonomic. Imagine a kid or an older person whose motor skills and muscles are weaker and they have to be so careful not to lose grip on a slippery object like glass? Little observations and thoughtfulness of designers go a long way.
Love this simple yet empathetic design. Thats it for this one! have a good day folks :)
